There has been much community dialog about the issue of hydroelectric power on Kaua`i. Find out why so many of our leaders and community organizations support KIUC's decision to explore hydroelectric power on Kaua`i. Go to www.KIUCRenewableSolutions.coop and click on the Endorsements & Supporters page.

Show your support for hydroelectric power as well. Vote YES in the upcoming KIUC election. With new, small hydro power projects on Kaua`i, we can get closer to our goal of generating 50% of our energy from renewable resources, making our power system one of the greenest in America, and stabilizing our electricity rates. With your support, we can make hydro happen on Kaua`i. Here are 5 things you can do now:

1. Vote YES in the upcoming election and submit your ballot by July 8. Ballots were mailed on June 13.

2. Send an email to your family, friends, and constituents (the more the better) asking them to vote "YES" and telling them why you will be voting "YES."

3. Post your position and ask your friends and followers on your blog and social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) to vote "YES."

4. When having one-on-one conversations with family, friends, or others, politely ask these folks to vote "YES" and submit their ballot by July 8.

5. Share and Retweet KIUC's Facebook and Twitter posts.
